psst...me, Matty again. I am "napping" so I thought I'd get another quick post in. Hope you all are doing well. Monday is my 18 month birthday, can you believe it! Time flies right? Well, I got a change into the blog title (formerly "journies of the ry-man"), so hopefully Ryan won't notice. I hear him in his room complaining about not being allowed to wear his sweatpants that were in the hamper today. He is becoming a real diva! I'm 5 Now and a Big Brother!

Hi Guys,
Its been a long long time since I last posted! I am 5 now and its summer time, I am getting ready to go into kindergarten, and soon enough I can stop getting a ghost write to type these posts for me! Oh, and did I mention that I am now a big brother? Perhaps you have heard...



Matthew John (Matty) was born back in May and has been a welcome addition. I love my little brother. Though he doesn't provide much in the way of fun and entertainment I can't wait to see him when I get up and when I get home from camp!

Daddy has taken lots of pictures with his new iPhone (you'd think that was his 3rd child!). He has even starting taking videos and uploading them to youtube! I wonder if he will start a blog for Matty? He started mine when I was just 5 months old, so he has some time (not that I am comparing).

Missed Opportunity

Its been almost 17 months since we last updated this blog, which stinks. So much has happened in the past year that I'd like to try to catch us all up. Ryan has graciously given me (daddy) permission to author some posts so I might take him up on that.

This way he doesn't have to sneak during school and camp!

Hope you guys are all having a great summer! We sure are, although our camera broke which means little to no video or self taken pictures, but we'll still include them somehow. Whats a blog without media anyway!?

I'm Finally Three!

Hi Everyone! Today is my birthday, whoooo hoooo! I just wanted to write and say that I have successfully achieved 3 years of life! :)

I haven't been writing much, but things are going really well. School has been great this year and I have taken quite a liking to my best friend Cassidy. She is a great girl (still wears diapers) that likes to play with me. We eat lunch together pretty regularly and I guess things with Katie just didn't work out as well. My big boy bed has been going great and I have even been sleeping all night long without peeing! It was just over a year ago that I began the whole potty experience and my last hurdle is to get through the whole night. Not only that but I have been sleeping well too!

Last week was Lucy's birthday and this past Saturday I had a birthday party and got some cool new present, including a T-Rex (which is scary) and a great TBall set. Oh and a BOAT that floats in the bath tub that gets carried around by a truck! Wow!

Hope you are all doing well, thanks for all the cards and emails! Mommy and I are taking cupcakes in for my birthday to school today! Me and Katie and Cassidy might eat them all and not share with the other kids! he he.

Hope you are doing well! I hardly ever get to update the blog these days, but I just wanted to let you know that all is well. In fact, my big boy bed is in the mail and should get here this week!! All this, and only 2 weeks till Santa Clause comes!! Its a busy time of year, but I will try to check in later.

Happy Halloween Everybody!

Well, today is halloween, and this year I am dressing up as Thomas. I can't wait to get my constume on, but daddy said i had to wait until after school. i guess some of the kids at school are too little and might be afraid if everyone there was in a costume! (suck it up kids, this puts a damper on halloween!)

so when i get home tonight i am going to put my thomas the train costume on, and we are going to pass out candy to the kids that come. then oma and pop pop are going to come over to see me and then we are going to go trick or treating. this is where we go to the neighbors and knock on their door and say trick or treat! and i get one or 2 candies put in my bag that i get to eat when i get home.

oh, here is our jack o lantern. me and daddy made it on sunday and we took a video of it last night. (can you believe this, 3 videos in the last 2 days!!)

Connor came over on saturday and we hung out. i asked mommy and daddy if i could feed him and they said yes! our camera was around (though running out of battery) so mommy shot some footage of it! hope you enjoy!

First day of school!

Today is my first day back to school and I am rather excited. Daddy made this picture:



Wow how things have changed. Just looking at my old picture a couple of things come to mind. That crazy nook is gone! AND...one that might not be visible to all of you guys but, underneath there are NO MORE DIAPERS! Thats right, this year, school starts in big boy underwear!

I hope my first day is very exciting and I hope you all have a wonderful day too!

School starts tomorrow!!

Wow, what a fast summer. Tomorrow school starts and I am spending my last day at home with Daddy today. Its been a great week and a half since camp ended and now its been preparation for school. Yesterday mommy took me to a playgroup at school with all my new (and old) classmates. There are 18 kids in my class and this year i am a big kid. There are a lot of girls this year!

The playgroup was lots of fun, I got to see my buddy Amelia and we shared together. Then me and mommy stopped and got McDonalds for lunch! Mmmmm. I had chicken nuggets. Me and daddy had a bit of a tiff when he wouldn't let me have the nuggets out of the box, which ended up in me hitting him, and me spending time in time-out!

Last night mommy and daddy had parents night at school and I got to play with all the kids in the playground. It was a blast! Then we got to go and see my classroom and I used the potty in there.

Potty training update you ask? Its going GREAT! Today marks one week of big boy underwear. In that time, I have had 5 accidents. But I have had a lot of success! I go my whole nap without wetting! I am still wearing pull ups at night to sleep in but soon, I will be able to wear the big boy underwear. mommy and daddy are really proud of me though.
