Home with Pink Eye!

Can you believe this crap? Pink Eye?!
Not sure who I got this from, but if I find you...run! Miss Pat told daddy last night when he picked me up from daycare, so we went straight to the Peed's office. Mrs doctor told daddy that it was pink eye and that I need drops 3 times a day. we headed directly to CVS to get the prescription.

Miss Pat said I can't go back to daycare until i have been on the medicine for 24 hours. So, today I am home. Mommy is with me in the morning, then daddy is coming home at lunch so mommy can go to work. what a day!

Poor daddy too because on saturday he hurt his ankle. he thinks he just sprained it, but he has been hobbling all around here. i think he hurt it when he was out with lucy. all i know is, he took lucy out for a walk sat night, adn returned 5 minutes later covered in snow and limping! hopefully he will be ok!

In other news...we got our Christmas tree up and decorated on Sunday. its a really nice one. hopefully daddy will take some pictures of it and post them on the website. granpa came over to help us decorate too, and to help daddy carry some boxes (since he had a bad ankle).

Friday we had a snow day and mommy and daddy worked from home. Then we headed down to see Mom-Mom on Saturday. I stayed with her while mommy and daddy went somewhere with uncle jim and aunt tracy. then we headed back to new jersey but stopped in a couple towns in Pennsylvania on the way. It seemed to be a lot of wandering around lost, but daddy kept saying he knew where he was! Regardles...we got home just in time for him to hurt his ankle!

So wish my little eyes luck! The drops are not exactly pain free, they sting man! Not to mention the eye guck is builing up faster than the Eagles Injured Reserve list. Btw...it was a pretty good game on Sunday, those darn giants got lucky and beat the second string eagles!

Been a while

Hi Guys! Long time no post. Its been a busy few weeks!

Thanksgiving was great! Had a good time in Delaware. Daddy was just telling me that he was goign to post some pictures up on his website. I guess I missed the big meal because I was sleeping. I was really tired that day for some reason. But when I woke up daddy gave me some mashed potatos and gravy and some sweet potataoes. It was OK. I am still getting used to the non-liquified foods, slowly but surely. Me, daddy, and my cousin Michael hung out most of the day on Friday while all the women went out shopping. Then on Saturday me and mommy went over to see Jake at mommy and daddy's friends Kelly's mom's house. Wow, that was a lot of possessives! Jake seemed well, but retired quickly after we arrived for a nap. Jake, if your reading, hope I answered your questions. If not, shoot me some mail!

We headed home on Sunday and it was traffic free much to mommy and daddy's delight, then back to school on Monday. It was quick before mommy left for her work conference for a few days. It was just me, daddy and lucy for a few days. we had a pretty good time. Granpa came over to put me to bed one night because daddy had a crime meeting to go to. I think that had something to do with Mommy's car getting broken up by some criminal.

Once mommy was back though, all went back to normal. Had a nice weekend this past weekend. On Saturday we went to daddy's work and they had a christmas party their for kids. I think the kids were either daddy's kids, or the kids of the people he works with. Probably the latter cause I didn't recognize any of them. We did see Sophia from daycare there and her mommy and daddy, thougth she seems more enthusiastic about daddy rather than even knowing I am there. Man, once I start walking, these chicks better take note!

Sunday night we went out to dinner with Jackson and his mommy and daddy. they live down the street from us. He is a pretty funny guy though. He is a bit older adn walking too, so I dont' get much cred from him either.

As for my motor development...i think daddy is enthusiastic about my crawling. If mommy is, she certianly hasn't told me. Not quite crawling yet, but more like an army arm crawl. Stay tuned, I have been working hard (thanks mommy and daddy for giving me the opportunity!)

Ok, hope you all had a nice holiday. Onto Christmas! :) We getour tree this week, and daddy put the lights on outside this past weekend. The Christmas music is anice touch (though its starting to get excessive, I think mommy and I are on the same page here).

GO Eagles tonight. Supposed to get some more of that white cold stuff tonight. Maybe advantage Eagles? They aren't mathematically eliminated yet baby!

so ya wanna know 'bout weddings?

hi everyone! what a week. basically, another week, another friggin cold! (scuse my language).

This full time daycare thing is kicking my immune system's butt right now. I am retooling though, and soon these little colds will be no match for me.

so, congrats to aunt beth and patrick (i guess, uncle patrick). i got to attend their (and my first) wedding. it was a lot of fun, though since i can't dance yet, i just sort of looked around. i got to see mommy and daddy dance a little too! goofy folks...

so, just before we headed out to DE is when my cold hit. I had just gotten over my last one. Needless to say, sleeping on friday night was awful. i was up every hour or so. this trend continued through to last night. hopefully tonight will be better and i can be ok by thanksgiving, because we are headed right back to DE. hmmm...now that i think about it, i wonder if my flu shot last wed had anything to do with my cold...grrr.

Day care has been ok, a short week this week. mommy dropped me off late on monday since she had a meeting close by. that way i didn't have to get up so early with daddy. the schedule is not so bad though. there are some entertaining little buggers in my daycare class! heheh. makes me giggle just thinking about it.

motor skills are coming a long, working hard. standing up is my favorite, but i can't pull up yet. i am getting there. daddy lowered my crib last night though, i guess cause i am getting older. he told mommy that the doctor recommended it. not crawling but moving and squirming pretty good. there is this really long white wire by the TV that i really want to play with. every time i get close though, someone moves me away. not clear whats happening there, but I WILL get that wire. that wire is my motivation!

Eagles season is not looking good. daddy said its ok though, that it probably wasn't good if they went to the superbowl my first year as a fan. he said i was born only 7 days after they were in the superbowl last year. we will continue to watch but hopes are dwindling. mommy doesn't know why we are going to watch, but just like daddy says, your a fan forever, not just when they are winning. i think maybe i can help explain some sports stuff to her because she has a hard time with it.

full week of daycare

Hi Guys, sorry for the delay. Its been a busy week, I have a lot less free time with mommy working full time now and me going to daycare every day. Its been going well though, Daddy has been getting me up in teh morning, drivning me to day care and picking me up. He is pretty fun to hang around with. Yesterday he took me to my 9 month checkup with the doctor. It was his first time taking me to the doctor alone and he did pretty good.

Doctor weighed me in at 23 lbs 8oz. I think 28 inches in length. Lets see, weight wise I think was 90th percentile? length wise i was 50th percentile. People seem interested in those numbers. As for the rest, things are going good. Doc said i can start to eat foods like mommy and daddy as opposed to just the baby food. last night mommy gave me some ham? to eat. It was interesting. I just chewed on it for a while, tried to swallow it a couple times, but it was tough. My other food just flows right down :)

Doc also mentioned my motor development. he seemed pleased with my progress, but thinks I should be sitting myself up and start to pull mysself up. I have 6 weeks to make some progress before he said to call "the number". This weekend I sort of figured out how to move around on my belly. Its geting better each day, but getting across the room is actually possible now. I don't think it will take long mastering this movement stuff.

So, we are off to DE tomorrow for Aunt Beth and PJ's wedding. Hey, its my first wedding, can't wait! I wonder what happens there. I think maybe some dancing? I told the kids at daycare, some of them have already been to weddings before. They said a lot fo talking happens there, it sounds to me like Church or something. I will let you know how it goes.

hows it going out there?

the sickness bug has hit again! Man, this is getting old. This time I caught a bad cold, I think it was from mommy, because she has been caughing like a seal! i had to stay home from daycare on monday because i was sick, and daddy stayed home with me. We hung out and played most of the day.

he was tired too from working on his deck all weekend too. Its nice, I got to spend some time on it this weekend so that i could supervise his work! Its coming along nicely though.

On Friday night we had a new babysitter come over and stay with me, Tiffany. She was nice and took good care of me. Then on Saturday, aunt jen came over to watch me. We had a great time. Mommy and Daddy went out 2 nights in a row! Wow! They said they hardly even did that before I was born! :)

Mommy starts back to work on Monday, so things are going to change with me going to daycare every day. I think Daddy is going to be dropping me off and picking me up most of the time. Lucy is going to be lonely at home too, hopefully we can catch each other up when we get home. I'm a little nervous, but I think it will be ok. daddy is just right across the parking lot, so he can be here in a giffy if i need him.

Oh...and how about this whole TO situation! Can you believe this guy! I mean, even I know to behave better than him. Maybe he can hire me as his personal council. I think i can help that guy a lot. Right now its looking like the Eagles won the battle with TO, but may have sacrificed some of their season. I hope they can turn things around. We play the cowpies on Monday night and then the giants. If we win both, we are right back in this thing! Keep your fingers crossed!

Halloween was a blast!

Ok...first halloween. general impessions...weird. overall, things went well, people look a lot different on halloween. it was fun though, and it was certainly different. apparently its time to start gearing up for the holidays! Daddy asked me to start thinking about Christmas gifts.

So, we went to the Halloween parade yesterday in town. It was nice, Daddy got to come home early and me, mommy, daddy, lucy, and granpa all went. I was dressed up like a Hershey Kiss. Yes, its kind of gay, but I pulled it off! Here is a picture!

Mommy was sick on Sunday so me and daddy watched the Broncos game. It was pretty awful but Daddy kept a good handle on his temper. I think he was tired from working on our deck all weekend. He said i could help him put the decking on (whatever that means) once the lumber gets here!

Anyway, mommy is all better, and I think me and daddy might be getting this thing. Hopefully not though. Oh, and 2 weeks until mommy goes back to work full time. i hope i adjust ok to full time day care! I am sure I will as I have no choice :(

Not much else going on, I have been learning some syllables to add to my babbling routine. If only I could put this eloquent writing into words there'd be no need for this blog. I have blurted out dah dah a number of times, but I am not sure thats what I wanted to come out.

feeling better

well, i am starting to feel better. my rash has pretty much started to disappear and its much less itchy and my cold seems to be disappearing too. I had a good nights sleep last night for the first time in quite a while.

don't tell daddy, but i think i gave him my cold. he seemed pretty miserable yesterday and sunday with a sore throat. what a wuss! gotta toughen that man up a little!

wow, its been getting cold out right? reminds me of my first days here. so cold out, and even in the house. we have been lighting a lot of fires over the weekend and finally mommy convinced daddy to turn on the heat yesterday. that helped out. they have me bundled up pretty tightly at night for bed, like a little glo worm (whatever that is).

more scoop on the job...not sure if mommy and daddy know that i can hear them or not, but it looks like i will be going to day care for 5 days a week when mommy starts working. not yet sure how i feel about that, initially, i don't like it. But...i will check it out over the next few weeks. Maybe ask some of the other full timers there and see how they like it. Poor lucy is going to be lonely at home too, and mommy said nikki is going to be coming full time again. I hope lucy is ok with that.

Eagles won on sunday (and I didn't wear my jersey...hmm). It wasn't a convincing win though, and it was pretty lucky. Daddy scared me a few times by yelling at the TV and mommy yelled at him. Lets see how the Denver game goes this weekend.

can someone get me a tissue!?

as you can probably tell by the title, i have a bit of a cold. not sure where this cold came from, could be a number of things. Maybe a tooth coming in, could be effects from my flu shot last week, or maybe its just a darn cold. Temperatures are dropping around here, and its been raining for ever (well, not this week).

nights this week have been awful, i just can't sleep well. it would help if i didn't have 15 pounds of mucus clogging me up, but mommy and daddy say there isn't much they can do. they keep coming at me with that blue ball syringe thing that sucks mucus out, but man, i hate that! And enough with the tissues! My nose is running constantly, wiping this little bit away is not going to save the world.

to top that off, i have this aweful diaper rash. me and mommy went to ask teh doctor about it and she gave us some more powerful medicine. hopefully it will work, because the itching is getting a little crazy.

as you can tell...its been a rough week. also found out that mommy got a job. not sure yet what that means, but it sounds as though mommy might not be around as much. i will let you all know.

Aunt Louise had her surgery and all went well, even better than expected. She came home and mom-mom and poppop bill are there helping her.

Lucy is also better, her tail is back to normal, and she is her crazy self again.

sometimes i'm a little devil

just wanted to say quickly, good luck to aunt louise who will be having surgery on monday. mom mom and pop pop bill are going to pittsburgh to spend some time with her. me and daddy have been saying prayers for her, so we know she will be ok.

so...hows it going out there? raining you say? its been raining for about 39 days and I am wondering if Noah is going to show up with a big wooden boat soon!

Apparently I have been quite the little devil at night recently. The fact is, sometimes I just don't want to go to sleep, so come and get me mommy! what is the big deal? Sometimes I think they can't hear me so I take it up a notch with the crying, but then I will hear them talking in there. Kids at daycare were telling me about this cry it out theory, where the parents try to get their babies to learn to sooth themselves. My goodness...who knows what those rookie parents are trying out. One day at a time...thats what I tell myself!

In other news...we think Lucy has "Limber Tail". She has been out of commission for the past day or so, and daddy stayed home and is working from home today in case she needs to go to the vet. I hope she gets better. We played a little this morning on the carpet.

Speaking of playing on the carpet, I have been thinking and strategizing. Since my daddy alway is enticing me with great toys, and then putting them just out of reach (not sure what this torture technique is called), I may have the answer. I noticed that crawling or scooting to the object on my back is effective, but its hard to see the toy. I think if I move my legs and lift my butt, I may be able to get to the toy on my stomach...

see how they react to that! More to come, I will let you guys know!

Hopefully it will dry up around here, the rain is just depressing...

and we're back...

back on track after a nice weekend away in DE. Oh and guess what, much to mommy's delight, i am a rolling fool. i have done the whole role form back to tummy and from tummy to back. she was delighted!

not much else going on. no daycare yesterday cause of columbus day, so i stayed home with mommy and we went to her work for a little while.

in DE we had a birthday party for a bunch of my cousins. that was ok, but all of them always want to hold me. i just want to play on the floor.

daddy got me a great gift on sat, a new eagles mcnabb jersey. its awesome, and i look good in it! Pictures to come soon! Unfortunately the Eagles suffered a pretty bad defeat at the hands of the dallas cowgirls. they stink adn i can't wait till we get to face em again on monday night in november. spoiled the premier of my jersey will you?! grrr...

a nice weekend of pumpkins and parties

what a night last night...after a great weekend the unknown bothersome pain/annoyance was back last night. i just couldn't sleep well. i think i cried most of the night and accidentally scratched my face a couple times. time to cut the nails mommy and daddy! it was a bad ending to a good weekend though.

saturday mommy and daddy took me to the farm and we went looking for some pumpkins and mums. there were some gigantic pumpkins there, so we ended up getting a pretty big pumpkin. I think daddy said it was 43 lbs! Thats almost twice as heavy as me! Since we got such a big one, we only got one. Mommy picked out some mums and planted them in the planters out front. They were actually pretty big too. I guess we are all ready for fall! Then it was off to Church, and then we went out to Leo's in Hoboken for dinner.

sunday was football sunday and block party day. it was nice, all the neighbors came out and all the kids got to play. it was a good time. it was during the Eagles game so daddy kept running back to the house to get me score updates. I was pretty down when the Eagles were losing 17-0 on the road in a hostile stadium. But how happy was I when they came back to win the game 37-31? Wow! Donovan played great, I hope i can see him play in person soon.

news on the milestone/development front...i have been hearing mommy and daddy still talking about me moving around and rolling over. its becoming quite humorous to hear them discuss this. Anyway...i think i may have quelled mommy's anxiety by rolling over a lot. In fact, whenever she puts me on my tummy, I roll to my back now. I will keep you guys updated.

off to the doctor today

so today its another trip to the doctors office. mommy said they have to check my ears because a couple weeks ago i had an infection in my ear. they have to make sure that the infection has cleared up. keep me in your thoughts, who knows what those buggers are going to poke me with this time. geesh...like i am some lab rat or something.

daddy said i have been making some funny faces lately. said i looked like hacksaw jim duggin? i don't know who that is, apparently neither did mommy. i guess it has something to do with me sticking my tongue out. sorry for exploring my mouth! i have these hard objects poking through my gums, gimme a break! it seems to get a laugh out of both of them though.

all else is well. i have completed my food cycle, good news, no allergies. i just wish i was getting some more of it! mommy and daddy are still on this moving around kick. i mean, if they put one more toy just out of reach i am gonna snap! I just want to play man...gimme a break, this growing up is hard work!

no city...just a relaxing weekend

hi guys, hope you all had a nice weekend. we sure did. i got to spend a lot of time with daddy cause mommy had some volunteer events and teh race on sunday. we were all going to go, but at the last minute mommy said we could stay home and relax. I think daddy was fighting for that and he seemed happy. he was busy working on our new deck that is coming along slowly. I got to see how to mix concrete and pour footers this weekend!

Eagles won...it was close according to daddy who disappeared at game time. I didn't get to see the game because it wasn't on tv, but he said it was a close game. I think he met Gabriel's daddy at the bar and they watched the game together cause Gabriel's mom and me and Gabriel and mommy all went for a walk.

bored at daycare...

they think i am napping right now, but i have slipped away to the terminal. hee hee hee...

slow day at daycare today. daddy dropped me off early cause mommy had an interview early. i hope she did well, i haven't talked to her about it yet. soon i guess she is going to be going to work all the time, so i get to spend even more time with the crew here at knowledge beginnings. i have mixed feelings about that, but lets not get into it.

its been a tough couple days, i am coming down with a cold, and this teething thing is not helping. nose is running, tough to breathe with my nook in, coughing. i figured out though how to manuever around in my crib. problem is, i can only go in one direction. i usually end up snug in the top corner of the crib.

i think we are giong into the city on sunday for mommy's race. daddy wants to stay home, but i think mommy is going to make him bring me. i can't remember being in teh city, but it sounds really big and fun. i'll check it out and let all of you know.

btw...do you guys watch that show "The Family Guy"?

ok mommy and daddy, hope you marked it down. I rolled over this weekend! I finally gave into the tummy time pressure and rolled myself onto my back. it was rather entertaining. When I finally got onto my back the room errupted in cheers (from mommy and daddy). that was fun. fun enough that I did it a few more times that day!

had a nice weekend, didn't do too much. sat was pretty low key, me and daddy hung out most of the day, and mommy had to do some volunteer work. then mommy and I talked to our neighbor Katie, who is going to be a mommy soon. she is going to have a little boy just like me. then our other nieghbors came over, Erika and her son Jackson. jackson is walking, he is older than me, but i think i have a few pounds on him! :)

sunday was football day. how bout them eagles huh? just like daddy said, they got walloped in Philadelphia. then we went to a barbeque in summit. summit is where the rich folks live (that what mommy says). None of us have ever been to a barbeque for 350 people! It was pretty interesting and fun.

hope you all had a nice weekend. congestion is back and i think a new tooth is coming in to give my first two company.

whats up dudes?

the tummy time saga continues...i have noticed a sharp increase in it! Its actually not been all that bad. i think mommy and daddy are trying to get me to roll over. little do they know, i don't NEED to roll over. i get a kick out of getting their hopes up by throwing my leg up and going partially! They get so excited. Truthfully, I don't have patience for rolling around. Lets not even talk about the dog hair involved!

I have already graduated sitting up, and the other night I went from a sit up to a tummy position. Daddy was impressed with that!! Not to mention that I can fully rotate on my back and tummy, and I have found that when I am on my back, moving by thrusting my legs works quite effectively. I must say though that I have enjoyed standing up.

Earlier this week daddy busted out the pack and play, and I have playing a lot in there. Not sure if its a safety thing, or a "daddy want to watch that show about football" thing. I am still contemplating this contraption. Atleast Lucy isn't able to step on me when she walks by, or wack me in the face with that crazy tale!

tooph update...second one seems to be breaking through and sleep has been better. Not sure why my tooph hasn't made my daddy's website news. he needs to get on the ball!

Not much planned for this weekend. 49ers come to philly for a beat down (according to you know who). Have yourselves a good one! :)

gosh we been busy

its been quite a few weeks with little time to post. mostly because daddy has been so busy at work. hopefully he gets his stuff in order and can get my posts up in time.

so its been a while. in that time i got 2 teeth. can you believe it? the first one is really coming in fast, and the other is just breaking through (yes, it hurts!). i keep forgetting those little things are in there and accidentally bite my fingers. probably will take some time to get used to.

mommy and daddy have cycled me thorugh almost all of my foods, 3 days each man. i am struggling with the last day of squash. last night daddy tried to feed me the squash, but i think i screamed loud enough to convince him to stop. i think he was flustered already, so i took good advantage of him, sorry daddy!

otherwise not too much else going on. i haven't talked to daddy today, but i just heard that the dumb falcons beat the eagles last night. i bet he is having a hard time with that. hopefully it was just a bad game one, and they turn things around. next week i will get to actually watch the game, which should be great!

Finally getting better! :)

well, i think my ear infection has broken. man that hurt. i just couldn't sleep and was just so achey. now i have these teeth coming into my mouth and they are hurting me too. jeesh...gimme a break people! I am a tired bugger. The congestion is not helping either. I did atleast get to skip daycare on monday and stay home with mommy!

So, as you can imagine its been a tough week or so, i think for all of us.

Anway, the week before i got to go on vacatino to pop pop john and debbie's house. it was fun, they were so nice to me and catered to my every need. i think daddy is going to put some pictures up from my vacation. while i was on vacation, mommy and daddy went to las vegas from mom mom's birthday. they said they had a good time, but really missed me. i got to talk to them on the phone, but they were in a different time zone whatever that means. check my daddy's website for pictures soon.

not too much else going on. we are going to DE this weekend because mommy and daddy have to go to a wedding. me and lucy are going to stay with mom mom, so that should be fun. hopefully my congestion and teeth will stop bothering me by then!

a little under the weather

well, its been so long since i updated! i have a whole vacation to tell you all about.

unfortunately i have come down with a nasty ear infection, a fever, and the case of the "can't keep it downs". I will write more later when I am feeling better.

I made it

I made it past the 6 month mark! Whoo hoo! Saturday was the big day, and honestly, it was rather uneventful. Daddy did get some good pictures of me though, i guess to mark the occassion.

getting pretty excited for tonight's eagles/steelers preseason football game. it will be great fun to finally see the eagles in action. daddy talks about tehm so much, and granted, he did show me the superbowl and most of playoffs from last year. i think it will take me a while to have the appreciation, but i think i have already passed mommy in that area! she doesnt' seem as excited about the whole game.

speaking of mommy, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMY! I can't believe you are 28 years old! i am not even one yet! hope you have a good day though. daddy made all sorts of notes for her this morning, he got a bit earlier. i saw him put one on my crib too!

even more news...congratulation to aunt beth! she called last night and told us that her and PJ are getting married! can you believe it!? no doubt another little one will be on the way! Well, atleast that what daddy says!

not too much else going on. dadddy gave me and mommy a nice surprise on thursday when he decided to share his bonus with us. we went to babies r us and got 2 brand new car seats. i am ridin in style now baby. i haven't gotten to try out the one in daddy's car yet, but will later this afternoon when he picks me up from daycare. Should be good fun though.

grandpa took us out to dinner last night for mommy's birthday, and man, i was a good boy. i sat, fairly quietly, for over 2 hours at dinner! daddy even joked about me being so good that maybe they will take me to vegas with them later this week! (no offense, but i think i'd rather go to pop-pop and debbie's!) I sure will miss lucy though....
